Position Description: 

The Texas Civil Rights Project (“TCRP”) is seeking a full-time Community Engagement Associate based in Austin, Texas. Please note, TCRP’s offices will be closed December 25th – January 1st. Roles and Responsibilities
• Administrative Duties
o Donor Management Database Maintenance:
 Ensure and maintain up-to-date donor information
 Enter, track, and appropriately code recent donations
 Track staff and board interactions with donors and supporters
o Assist in creating and managing TCRPs’s Community Engagement Calendar
o Communications Management Database Maintenance
 Assist in managing email and press lists

• Community Stewardship
o Generate and deliver timely thank you notes and other stewardship activities
o Assist in correspondence with donors and supporters including confirming meetings and drafting emails
o Prepare call sheets for fundraising and stewardship calls

• Research
o Investigate donor prospects
o Prepare prospecting briefings outlining areas of interest, financial capacity, proposal and reporting requirements

• Event Management
o Coordinate logistics for community engagement events
o Assist in generating and implementing promotional communications for community engagement events

• Social Media Operations
o Assist in generating content and graphics for use on social medial platforms
o Operate weekly social media calendar

• Design Work
o Generate event invitations and other materials
o Assist in design work for programmatic and stewardship publications

Compensation
Salary will be based on years of experience, starting at $37,000.

Requirements: 

• Undergraduate Degree in Communications, Non – Profit Management or a related field
• Minimum of 1 year of professional, non-profit experience, preferably within Development or Community Engagement
• Passion for civil rights and empowering Texas communities
• Experience in or an understanding of the importance of donor relations
• A positive, can-do attitude
• Track record of working collaboratively with diverse groups of individuals
• Excellent writing and oral communication skills
• Attention to detail is a must
• Proficiency in MS Office including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite – particularly, InDesign and Photoshop
• Familiarity with the Google ecosystem (Google documents, Google Drive, etc.).
• Experience with Donor Management CRM’s is a plus
