Tulane University Law School seeks applications for the position of Assistant Dean
for Career Development, as well as for the positions of Career Counselor and/or
Program Coordinator.
The Assistant Dean for Career Development will serve as the administrative head of
the Career Development Office (CDO). Tulane seeks a dynamic and entrepreneurial
leader, deeply familiar with the rapidly shifting landscape of legal employment and
capable of charting creative strategies to assist students in identifying and securing
employment nationally. The main duties of this position will be to lead the Law
School’s efforts in providing services to students as they seek legal employment,
supervise and manage the CDO and a staff of 4‐5 professionals, and counsel students
on obtaining employment after law school. Minimum qualifications for the Assistant
Dean for Career Development include a college and advanced degree and at least
five years of professional experience, preferably in a legal and/or higher education

Tulane Law School is also seeking to hire a Career Counselor and/or Program
Coordinator to aid students as they seek legal employment. Responsibilities for
these positions will vary based on the level of experience. Specific duties will
include counseling and advising students on career path options and available legal
opportunities with traditional law firms, public sector and public interest
organizations, judicial clerkships, in‐house legal positions, and other areas of
employment; coordinating interview programs for students and managing
programs hosted by the CDO; and creating opportunities to connect students with
practitioners in all sectors of legal employment. Minimum qualifications include a
college degree and at least one year of professional experience. An advanced degree
