Managing Attorney – Lewiston Office
Idaho Legal Aid Services (ILAS) is seeking applicants for a managing attorney position in the program’s Lewiston office to serve clients in Clearwater, Idaho, Latah, Lewis, and Nez Perce Counties. The attorney may represent clients in a variety of areas including family law where there has been domestic violence, housing, public entitlements, Indian and senior law. This is a full time position of 37.5 hours per week.
Lewiston is a small town of about 32,000. Nestled in the Lewis-Clark Valley at the confluence of the Snake and Clearwater rivers, the climate is mild year round and is often referred to as the Banana Belt of the Pacific Northwest. ILAS is a statewide nonprofit law firm that provides free civil legal services to low income persons. The firm has served Idaho since 1967. Branch offices are located in Coeur d'Alene, Lewiston, Caldwell, Boise, Twin Falls, Pocatello, and Idaho Falls. Satellite offices are located at the Nampa Family Justice Center and FACES Justice Center in Boise. ILAS also has a Migrant Farmworker Law Unit, an Indian Law Unit, and three attorney-staffed legal advice lines. More information is available at
ILAS provides excellent opportunities for the professional growth of its employees. The person hired for the position must be a member of the Idaho State Bar or be able to readily obtain admission. We are looking for someone with litigation or family law experience, ideally 3-5 years, and a history of public service. Annual salary for an attorney with three years of experience $49,200+, with five years of experience $51,900+DOE. Excellent benefits include life, health, dental, and disability insurance.
