SUMMARY
Northwest Immigrant Rights Project (NWIRP) seeks a Bilingual (English/ Spanish) Front Desk Coordinator / Legal Advocate in its Wenatchee, WA office.

The Front Desk Coordinator / Legal Advocate provides reception, phone services and administrative support to staff. This person is the face and voice of NWIRP. The front desk handles thousands of calls per year, in addition to walk in clients and over-the-phone screenings. This position coordinates all aspects of the front desk. This person must be able to handle a fast-paced, dynamic work environment.

REPORTS TO
Wenatchee Directing Attorney

RESPONSIBILITIES
Reception:
• Answer all incoming calls.
• Greet all in person guests.
• Screen immigration assistance inquiries and refer to appropriate staff.
• Schedule client appointments.
• Other duties as required.

Administrative Support:
• Collect, open, date stamp and route incoming mail.
• Coordinate outgoing mail.
• Log all incoming cash receipts.
• Monitor office supply inventory and purchase new supplies.

Legal Advocate:
• Under the supervision of an attorney, prepare immigration forms, applications, and supporting documents.
• Participate in and coordinate outreach and education workshops.
• Translate documents.
• Search for and retrieve public and private records such as birth certificates and criminal histories.Other tasks as assigned.  

PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND ATTRIBUTES
• Demonstrated commitment to immigrant rights and willingness to support NWIRP's mission, vision and values; comfortable working with a diversity of cultures.
• Must be Bilingual (English/Spanish).
• Experience with multi-line phone systems and call handling in a high-volume environment.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Experience with Microsoft Office (especially Word and Excel), databases and Internet browsers.
• Must be punctual: Arriving on time to greet clients at 9:00am and after lunch at 1:00pm.
• Must be resilient and patient with a high level of personal integrity and excellent interpersonal communications skills.
• Must be able to efficiently manage multiple tasks, work well under stress and be flexible, anticipating quickly changing needs.
• Highly motivated, resourceful, open minded, flexible and easily adaptable to change.
• Direct communication style preferred. Positive and friendly attitude required.
