Position Description:
Representation of indigent clients through all stages of the state court system in criminal and some civil matters. This includes pre-trial proceedings, motions, court and jury trials of criminal matters, appeals, habeas corpus proceedings, abuse and neglect actions, and juvenile proceedings.
Requirements:
The successful applicant must possess a J.D. degree and be a current member in good standing or eligible for admission to the South Dakota Bar. Criminal trial experience or clinical program experience in criminal law are preferred.
