For the past half-century, legal services clients have been spokespersons for justice, champions of local programs, allies and leaders in the many struggles in which legal service programs have been engaged. The Client Contribution Awards are a celebration of the contribution that clients have made to addressing injustice in their communities, and to battling for the integrity and growth of legal services programs across the country.
The Client Contribution Awards are presented by TimeBanks USA to recognize efforts by individuals, groups, or programs that promote client service and engagement. Awards are given for activities in the following categories:
- Supporting or promoting legal services for the indigent (or a legal services program) at the local, state, or national level
- Efforts by a client that improve the lives of others in the community
- Promoting client involvement and client leadership
Three awards of $500 each will be presented at NLADA’s 2016 Annual Conference Advocacy at a Crossroads: Equality, Justice, and Human Rights in Indianapolis, IN, Nov. 9-12.
