Position Description: 

The St. Frances Cabrini Center for Immigrant Legal Assistance is seeking a Staff Attorney position available at the Catholic Charities' Houston office.

The individual that fills this position will be responsible for:
◾Providing Legal Orientation Presentations to Custodians (LOPC) of Unaccompanied Children (UAC) in removal proceedings,
◾Providing outreach and education services to custodians of unaccompanied children,
◾Assisting with overseeing the coordination of logistics to provide LOPCs,
◾Assessing eligibility for immigration benefits,
◾Performing client intake interviews,
◾Preparing case summaries to sponsors and unaccompanied children for direct legal representation,
◾Tracking statistical data for grant reporting purposes,
◾Reporting on case outcomes following pre-established deadlines,
◾Providing technical assistance to pro bono attorneys, and
◾Performing on and off-site outreaches.

Requirements: 

Law Degree;
2.Texas Bar Card preferred, and be an attorney in good standing;
3.Proficiency in English and Spanish (speak, write, read); (required)
4.Immigration and Family Law experience preferred; and
5.Must have reliable transportation, valid TDL, and evidence of insurability.
