Accommodations and Travel InformationHotel Information
Chicago Marriott Downtown NLADA conference attendees staying at the Chicago Marriott Downtown Hotel will receive a special discounted room rate of $159 single/double occupancy per night, exclusive of taxes. The deadline date for reservations is June 30, 2010. After that date, requests for reservations will be accepted on a space and rate availability basis. All reservations must be guaranteed by credit card or deposit. Be sure to inform the reservations agent that you are with the National Legal Aid & Defender Association [NLADA] to secure the discounted rate. If booking hotel rooms for the Substantive Law Conference or the Litigation and Advocacy Directors Conference please refer to market code "LADO" when speaking to the reservations agent to receive the group discount. Reservations may be canceled up to 24 hours prior to arrival without penalty. Check in is 3:00 p.m. and check out is 12:00 noon. Roommate PairingNLADA will offer assistance with roommate pairing for conference attendees who prefer having a roommate to help reduce their accommodation expenses. We cannot guarantee accommodation of roommate choices, and we are not responsible for making sure matches are suitable. Air TransportationChicago Airports and Airlines Chicago Department of Aviation Chicago Marriott Downtown Magnificent Mile Hotel is located 15 miles from the Chicago O’Hare Airport - ORD and 12 miles from Chicago Midway Airport - MDW. Special airfare discounts of up to five percent are available on American Airlines. Book fares online only at www.aa.com. To get the NLADA discount, indicate 5270AE in the promotional code box. Fares are subject to airline terms and availability. Ground TransportationBoth O ’Hare and Midway International Airports are close choices for local travel to the Chicago Marriott Downtown Magnificent Mile Hotel. The hotel does not provide shuttle service. Located at 40 and 30 minutes from the hotel, respectively; both airports are accessible by shuttle, taxi or subway train. From O’Hare, the shuttle service is $29 one-way and taxi service is approximately $40 one-way. From Midway, shuttle service is $22 one-way, and the taxi is $30, one-way. Downtown Chicago can be accessed via subway service for $2.25 (one way). The subway station is Grand Avenue and State Street (Red Line). The daily fee is for hotel guests only with in/out privileges.
