NLADA Places A High Premium On Training

NLADA sets the standard for up-to-date innovative, interactive, faculty-intense training-skills programs and training conferences. Training is a key component of NLADA's mission to seek justice for all by providing high quality, cost efficient legal representation to indigent persons accused of committing crimes. An experienced and dynamic faculty, carefully selected for each particular program based on their professional expertise, conducts all of NLADA's trainings.

NLADA's highly respected training provides defenders with the latest substantive information on laws and legal trends affecting their everyday practice in the defender community. NLADA's conferences offer innovations in technology and management techniques and strategies plus opportunities to sharpen trial, appellate, and training skills. Many of the training events enable participants to earn continuing legal education credits. Training materials from past events are available for those of you who missed these excellent training conferences.

Web-based Training Opportunities

In addition to hosting conferences and in-person training events, NLADA s Defender Division will be offering training through other mediums, like the Internet. Through NLADA's partnership with the Practising Law Institute (PLI), NLADA has taken the first step towards making training to the defender community available online.
