Quality is job one for legal services and public defender programs, non-profits and pro bono programs.
Most of our mission and vision statements include references to provide high quality legal representation and
services for low-income people and communities. Evaluations and assessments provide instruments and
opportunities to measure the effectiveness of our efforts and the impact of funder's investments.
Program evaluation allows administration, program staff, clients, partners and funders to measure the effectiveness
and impact of their investments specific to myriad legal services programs and systems, while also achieving critical
performance measures.
Conference Overview
The two day conference agenda and learning objectives include:
- Discussion of the need for standardized protocols for evaluations and assessments.
- An opportunity to assess adherence to statutory mandates and programmatic requirements.
- A process to identify technical assistance needs of programs and program leaders.
- An opportunity to connect program and quality management efforts.
- The development of processes, procedures and systems for programmatic monitoring.
- An opportunity to measure and document successful outcomes and interventions.

government's performance measurement criteria.
