I really enjoyed the 2011 Life in the balance conference and I learned a lot. I wanted to let you know about a couple of presenters who's sessions I found to be especially helpful. Mark Cunningham was excellent, as always, but I have seen him before in sessions and in testimony. I had never seen James Garbarino or Mic Hunter speak before and I found them to be exceptionally knowledgeable and inspiring…

I also want to thank you each for making me feel like such a part of the NLADA family every time I get to spend time at an event. I am always energized by the work that you are doing and your encouragement keeps me forging ahead with all of the work that needs to be done to help our clients. I know the defender section of NLADA is small and that resources are scarce, so your efforts are even more heroic….

I think the whole conference was really well run and full of new courses and interesting interactions. I would particularly highlight the excellent organization by Melva and Karl and the whole "behind the scenes" team. And the Mardi Gras theme for the welcome event was really fun…

I wanted to thank Melva and Karl both for the wonderful 2011 Life in the Balance conference. It was my first one and I was very impressed. .. The speakers you had for the plenary session at the 2011 Life in the Balance s were excellent, and I enjoyed most of the classes as well. I have been to four capital seminars now, two put on by the feds, and yours has been the best one...
