Civil Impact Leadership: Radical Collaboration for Racial Justice
POSTPONED
Radical Collaboration for Racial Justice, originally scheduled for June 19-21, 2008, is postponed and will be held
in February 2009 in Washington, DC.
We look forward to leveraging the reality of a change in administration and a new political landscape that
is certain with the November elections. Regardless of who becomes the next president and whatever the composition
of the Congress, our nation and communities will be engaging a change agenda requiring the collaboration of
program staff leadership, board leaders, and community leaders. We are committed to providing legal services
programs, community agencies and low income leaders and activists with the information, skills, and resources
need to meet the challenges and opportunity of this changing landscape.
Look for information and updates on this conference which will provide our communities and programs with
invaluable tools and resources to enhance their ability to advance racial and economic justice. NLADA
believes that a movement is afoot to address structural racism which maintains systemic and institutional
dynamics that perpetuate poverty. We cannot tackle poverty without addressing race, structural racism, and class.
Join us in February 2009 in Washington, DC to begin asking new and better questions and
working better together to achieve better and lasting results.
