The national board of directors of the Legal Services Corporation consists of 11 members, all of whom are appointed by the President of the United States and confirmed by the Senate. The board oversees the policies and administration of LSC, develops regulations to implement the LSC Act and congressional spending bills, monitors grantees for compliance and is charged with carrying out the other goals contained in the LSC Act. No more than six members of the board can be from the same political party.

The LSC website has information on individual board members.

NLADA regularly advocates before and monitors the activities of the LSC Board.
