Individual Membership
NLADA Individual Membership Application

Individual membership provides a host of member benefits and services,
including national advocacy, training
opportunities, publications, networking and professional development,
publications and online resources, technical support and access to member-only
discount programs.
Individuals may select from several membership types:
- Sustaining Member - $150
Sustaining Members demonstrate their strong commitment to legal aid and indigent
defense by joining NLADA at this level. The additional revenue that NLADA
receives from individuals joining as Sustaining Members, or upgrading from the
Non-Attorney Professional or Individual Attorney levels, enables NLADA to expand
its services and benefits to its members. Sustaining Membership is $100 per year.
- Individual Attorney - $100
Individual Attorney members include attorneys who work in legal aid and indigent
defense programs, as well as private practice, corporate, nonprofit and
government sector attorneys who are committed to equal access to justice for the
poor. The Individual Attorney membership is $100 per year. Attorneys who work for program
members of NLADA may join for a reduced fee of $75 per year.
- Non-Attorney Professional - $60
Investigators, social workers, law librarians, paralegals and all other
non-attorneys who share the commitment to equal justice for all are invited to
join NLADA in this membership category for $60 a year. Individuals who work for program
members of NLADA may join for a reduced fee of $40 per year.
- Life Member - $1,500
Individuals who share NLADA's vision and values can significantly advance its
work through a Life Membership. For a fee of $1,500, they are
entitled to all of the benefits of NLADA membership for life and special
recognition in NLADA publications in which members are listed.
- Individual Client Member - $20
If you have used the services of a civil legal aid or indigent defense office,
you are entitled to join NLADA at the special rate of $20 for Client Membership.
Client Members receive the full range of benefits and services available to
all NLADA members.
- Individual Student/Fellow Member - $35
NLADA encourages today's law students and recent law school graduates working as fellows
to devote their future professional lives to civil legal services and indigent defense. To acquaint
law students and fellows with the benefits of NLADA membership, including discounts on training events
and publications, NLADA offers students and fellows the opportunity to join for $35.
