Beginning with the birthday paradox, Meyers suggests that the number of matches that occur at 9 of 13 loci is not a lot higher than one would expect (observed is 122 matches, expected is 100). At 10 of 13 loci, the number of observed is significantly higher than expected (20 versus 3). Myers suggests that the likelihood of matching at 9 loci would be just as high in CA and expects there would be more matches in CA.
