A copy of the fingerprint training manual published by the FBI, published in July 1987. The manual describes the characteristic features of fingerprints, with descriptions and pictures of the different types of loops, whorls and arches with information on how to score these features. There is also a section on NCIC classification. Quizzes (without answers) are included in the manual. Generally, the manual describes fingerprint ridge patterns in detail, but is not tailored to the analysis of latent fingerprints or the comparison of latent and inked prints.
