In collaboration with other organizations that provide significant support to Indigent Defense, NLADA has embarked upon a strategy to build an expanded national infrastructure to promote and support the field.

The mission of the National Indigent Defense Collaboration is:

To ensure that there is a high quality, well-funded, indigent defense system in every jurisdiction in the United States, and that these systems are able to maintain quality and appropriate funding as conditions and needs change.
