Federal Funding | State Private Funding | Funding/Grant Strategies | NLADA Byrne Reports
Helping public defense providers obtain supplemental funding from various governmental and private entities is a key function of the Division of Defender Legal Services.

Common purposes of such supplemental grants include developing innovative service delivery mechanisms, technology, training, or hiring staff to expedite case processing or improve service - the key common element generally being unavailability of funding from the primary funder.

(Strategies for dealing with primary funders are dealt with under Technical Assistance.)
