We regret to inform you that the American Council of Chief Defenders (ACCD) Summer Conference on June 2-4th in Philadelphia has been cancelled. It was after considerable discussions - with specific considerations to the significant financial restraints of defenders -- that this decision was made. We deeply appreciate the interest in the event, and thank those of you who registered to attend (those who have registered will receive additional information on the cancellation).

While unfortunate, we believe this will allow us to focus on ensuring that you all are able to attend our Annual Conference, Delivering on Our Promise, in Los Angeles November 6-9th, and the ACCD meetings that are scheduled for this conference. Many more chiefs expressed interest in attending than were fiscally capable, and we hope to streamline our events to best connect our community of chief defenders and public defense leaders.

Our focus continues to be on ensuring that we are utilizing resources most effectively during such a critical time in revitalizing the right to counsel. To this end, we will soon be releasing exciting new resources to promote national and local public defense reform. We will keep you updated on this and other developments.
