Executive Summary

Executive Summary is an electronic update for and about the American Council of Chief Defenders. Published quarterly, every issue contains ACCD meeting and committee summaries, news about what is happening in systems run by your colleagues across the country, and timely, information from Washington and around the country about criminal justice and indigent defense happenings and resources.

Volume 1, Issue 1 (March 2011) newsletter (pdf, 156 Kb) includes information on ACCD priorities, strategic plan and vision for 2011 including the letter sent to Attorney General Holder on March 1, 2011 and much more.

We Chief Defenders are many and diverse. We have many perspectives. Multiple perspectives provide organizations an edge in meeting the complexity of the problems it faces. For ACCD to meet its potential, we need your feedback, especially your critical thoughts because we all know that “Feedback is the breakfast of champions” (Stephen Covey). Please let us know what you would like to see in this Newsletter and what you think about the work of ACCD by contacting Lynnae Johnson, Resource Coordinator of Defender Legal Services.
