Executive Committee
The Executive Committee serves as a steering committee for the ACCD, governing its
mission and work and coordinates political support for chiefs when it is required.
Committee members interact with other criminal justice professionals, advise staff on
ACCD meeting and training agendas and otherwise represent the ACCD in between
meetings. An important function of the Executive Committee is to work with staff to
develop policy and media statements as issues arise. The Committee is representative of each geographical region and
program type, with elected co-chairs serving staggered two-year terms; members are appointed yearly by
the co-chairs.
