Third Annual Report, Massachusetts Access to Justice Commission
June 2008. Describes follow-up to recommendations on eliminating barriers to access to courts. Recommends that Supreme Judicial Court clarify that “ghostwriting” does not violate ethical standards and affirm that trial court judges have the authority to allow well-trained lay advocates, in limited circumstances, to act affirmatively in court on behalf of indigent individuals.
