Fourteen senators are urging leaders of the Senate Appropriations Committee to increase LSC’s funding by $45 million for FY 2002, which would bring the annual federal investment in civil legal services to $375 million. All 12 Democratic members of the Senate Health, Education, Labor and Pensions Committee (HELP) signed the letter, as did Senators Maria Cantwell (D-WA) and Ron Wyden (D-OR).
