Leadership and Diversity Committee

This committee makes recommendations to the Civil Policy Group on leadership and diversity issues, such as supporting and developing minority leadership in legal services programs, developing new leadership in legal services programs, involving non-directors in legal services community leadership roles and assuring that diverse staff are recruited and retained throughout the legal services community. The Leadership and Diversity Committee works on developing leadership strategies, which focus on developing leadership skills within the legal services community, with a particular emphasis on diversity issues. Projects include developing a series of training events that help leaders address issues currently facing legal services programs, including issues of diversity, both within program staff and the client community and issues that arise as programs undergo internal changes.
